This is a family favorite. It has become the traditional birthday meal in our home. I inherited this recipe from my mother-in-law with very few modifications.

Cook the noodles

elbow macaroni
Instructions
Cook the elbow macaroni until almost done (with only a little firmness).

Make the mixture
Ingredients
1/4cup
milk
2
eggs
12ounces
cheddar cheese, grated
Instructions
Mix the milk, egg, and about 8 oz. of the cheese together.

Combine with noodles

Instructions
Put the macaroni in an 8 1/2x11 baking dish. Pour the egg mixture over top and stir to coat the macaroni. Add the rest of the cheese to the top.

Bake

Instructions
Bake, uncovered, at 350* for 35-45 minutes.
For less crunchy Baked Mac and Cheese, cover while baking and bake for 45-55 minutes.
